URGENT  POSITIONS
FH/Kenya (Food for the hungry, Kenya) a Christian relief and development NGO  seeks to fill in the following vacant positions at their Marsabit office:  This is a short term program funded by WFP and running from 15th August to 31st December, 2011



BSFP PROJECT COORDINATOR (1 POSITION)
The BSFP (Blanket Supplementary Feeding Project)  Coordinator will supervise the entire operation of BSFP Project.
Responsibilities
Compile distribution reports and monthly reports
Coordinate BSFP activities with other Nutrition activities
Work closely with DHMT for systematic treatment
Attend meetings -  DSG Coordination meetings


Qualifications
Degree in Nutrition, Nursing or any Health related field
Diploma in Nursing, Nutrition with 3 years experience in Community Nutrition
Experienced in food distribution preferably BSFP
Committed and hardworking person -  ready to work overtime and meet strict deadlines.

SITE  SUPERVISORS (7 POSITIONS)
The BSFP Supervisor will oversee the entire BSFP distribution in different sites.
 Responsibilities
Update the project Coordinator regularly on distribution
Make sure that all the protocols are observed during distribution days.
Compile site distribution reports and monthly reports
Work closely with facility incharge for acquiring vaccines and any other materials/equipment for systematic treatment.


Qualifications / Experience
 Diploma in Nursing/Nutrition with 3 years experience

Qualification and Experience:
• Must possess a first degree or its equivalent in any business studies, business management and
economics. An advanced degree and experience in investments shall be an added advantage.
• Strong technical knowledge of statistical estimates and relevant qualification such as CFA level 1
• Strong understanding of financial and statistical estimates with ability to read financial statements
such as balance sheet, profit and loss statement and the cash flow
• Computer skills backed by high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office-word, excel and power
point as well as knowledge of statistical software manipulations such as SPSS
• Minimum 7 years experience gained in an operational and customer service background in a
services organization

interpersonal and communication skills

Climate Change, Agriculture, Food Security (CCAFS) seeks to recruit a highly competent and dynamic Program Assistant for its
Regional Program in East Africa.
The CGIAR Research Program on Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security (CCAFS) is a 10-year research initiative launched by
the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR) and the Earth System Science Partnership (ESSP). The CCAFS
program seeks to overcome the threats to agriculture and food security in a changing climate, exploring new ways of helping
vulnerable rural communities adjust to global changes in climate.
The CCAFS East Africa Regional office is hosted at the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI).
The CCAFS Program Assistant will be part of a small Program Management Team and will in particular involve in ensuring that
adequate program projects, financial and administrative systems are established and maintained. He/she will be responsible for
providing technical backstopping to the overall Program management. The CCAFS Program Assistant will report to the Regional
Program Leader. This position will be based at the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) Headquarters in Nairobi but it may
require frequent travel throughout the Eastern Africa region.

Responsibilities:
• Provide administrative backstopping to the overall Program management;

In a bid to move the organization to greater sustainability in line with vision of the Strategic Plan 2011 – 2015, CFK seeks to recruit a
young and dynamic Kenyan as its Partnerships & Sustainability Manager.
Reporting to the Executive Director, the position will be responsible for management of the organization’s Endowment Fund as well as
establishing processes and systems that will enable CFK to move towards greater sustainability as an institution of benefit to its
stakeholders.

Position Status: Full time.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
• Develop and implement a comprehensive sustainability plan aimed at moving CFK toward greater sustainability in
collaboration with the Executive Director and other organizational staff.
• Provide leadership in the management and growth of the CFK Endowment Fund.
• Actively cultivate new and existing donor relationships by exploring multiple possibilities for engagement while developing
and maintaining contacts with a broad section of agencies and leaders.
• Conduct a comprehensive analysis of systems and structures and continuously spearhead reviews to ensure continued
efficiency, effectiveness and high impact for CFK’s resource investments.
• Develop and spearhead the implementation of a resource mobilization strategy that would enable CFK to achieve its 2015
financial objectives for both program and core costs.
• Develop concepts and proposals and act as a catalyst for new resource mobilization ideas and approaches in collaboration
with CFK staff and in line with the wider organizational vision.
• Ensure strict compliance by CFK to funding guidelines and regulations as detailed in the various funding agreements in place.

Position Responsibilities:
