Job Purpose



The Senior Investment Officer will be required to develop investment

initiatives, undertake appraisal analysis, advise on investment

opportunities and coordinate the implementation of investment decisions to

achieve the objectives of the Bank.



Key Responsibilities:

relevant to the locals and address the requirements of clients; and prepare

Board papers on investment opportunities and feasibility studies for senior

management and the Board of Directors to consider;

Job Title: Network Director
Reporting To: The Chief Technical Officer
Departmental Interface: Deployment, IT, PMO Directors and Commercial, Finance, Procurement, and HR Departments


Responsibilities:

• To provide leadership, organization and coordination to support the key activities of the network engineering and network operation
• To manage end to end quality of service and encompass end to end network design and planning
• To be responsible for the preparation of the network yearly budget and technology plan in line with the Business Strategy Plan
• To interface with all vendors and accountable for vendor SLA management to ensure best in class network quality of service & availability.
• To ensure that all network element managed by staff or vendors adhere to standard processes and procedures.
• To interface with the organisation’s marketing department to provide support in deploying new services smoothly via maximizing the value of network infrastructure features
• To handle all aspects of network modernization and introduction of new technology/solutions including tendering, vendor selection, implementation and Operation.
• To ensure proper network planning and optimization during Network Development life Cycle
• To communicate efficiently with all departments; resolve any issue, track costs, report financial deviations or changes from budget.
• With regards to cost management: to manage budget control, monitoring and tracking the capital and operational budget expenditure, and ensuring that the operation actual spends are in-line with the forecasted budget.

The job

The Rights and Citizenship aims to develop a critical and representative civil society rooted in the power of citizens who take action to bring about a democratic, just and pluralistic society. Spearheads are women’s rights, good governance, sexual and reproductive rights and equal rights and treatment for Lesbian, Gays, Bisexuals and Transgenders (LGBTs).

It incorporates programme development and implementation focusing on the strengthening of a vibrant civil society. The programme builds on Hivos’ track record in the field of human rights, women’s emancipation, democratisation, LGBT Rights and HIV/Aids.

As a member of the global Rights and Citizenship team and reporting to the Regional Director, the programme officer contributes constructively and positively to the overall and regional Hivos policies in this field; positions Hivos in the region in line with its’ policies; initiates and coordinates innovative and creative programmes and initiatives that contribute to Hivos Rights and Citizenship objectives, forges strong relationships and builds supportive networks with relevant stakeholders notably in civil society and takes responsibility for the administration and management of the Rights and Citizenship partner portfolio.

The person

You are a qualified individual with strong analytic skills and an ability to translate analysis into practice.

You are passionate about equal rights for all citizens irrespective their ethnic background, social status. beliefs, sexual orientation or profession.

You are familiar with the processes of democratization, inclusion and empowerment of minorities.

You are entrepreneurial and not afraid to contribute to taboo breaking initiatives and challenging vested interests and embedded norms and values. You have strong communication skills, both orally as in writing. You are a good networker with a proven ability to mobilize your network in support of the programme objectives.

You are well respected in your community of practice, a team player, flexible and open minded. You are self disciplined and do not shy away from administrative tasks as part of your responsibilities.

Qualifications

• An academic background, with a masters degree in a relevant field;
• Experience with human rights and democratization processes and empowerment of marginalized groups in the region;
• Experience with accountability and/or good governance issues;
• A minimum of five years of relevant work experience;
• Strong networking and fundraising skills;
• Proven experience in project management and implementation;
• Track record in programme development in the field of human rights and gender equality;
• Affinity with developmental, political and socio-economic issues;
• Preparedness and ability to travel.
