Reporting to the Group CEO, the purpose of the role is to oversee the HR function for
five (5) countries and by 2014, the Group intends to grow to fourteen (14) countries.
The role has Responsibility and accountability for the delivery of a world class group
human resources function, with particular emphasis on setting strategic direction in

Job Description:
Job Purpose
Reporting to the Head of Programs ENRM, the NSA/NRM Program Manager will be based in Nairobi and will primarily provide
management and oversight to the overall implementation of the program activities and its grant components. S/He will supervise the
staff under the facility, work closely with the Capacity Development and Grants Managers and design Calls for Proposals (CfPs) for
programmatic and activity oriented grant awards. S/He will participate in the review and selection of concepts and proposals from
applicant organisations. Overall, S/He will provide a coordination role for all the components of the Programme, and contribute to
leveraging funding to enhance achievement of Pact Kenya’s organizational mission, vision and strategic objectives.
MAIN ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Specifically, the NSA-NRM Programme Manager will:
• Contribute to the development and continuous review of the overall strategy for the NSA-NRM Advocacy and Capacity
Development approach to strengthening NSAs in the Environment and NRM sector.
• Provide technical leadership in the design and implementation of NSA-NRM programme grants and studies nationally.
• Guide partners in developing projects that are aligned to the NSA-NRM Programme goals and results.
• Coordinate technical support for partners to develop and implement sound NRM advocacy for ENRM sector.
• Facilitate linkages between partners, private sector and GoK offices for effective advocacy and service delivery.
• Provide leadership, in liaison with MERL department and partners to develop project performance indicators for tracking
performance of advocacy projects and service delivery and to guide program management in decision-making.
• In liaison with Capacity Development Manager, develop tools and methods for capacity development of the partners.
• Track the overall performance of the team supporting the NSA-NRM programme, through coordinating preparation of
quarterly activity plans and monthly & quarterly performance reviews.
• Participate in NSA-NRM team meetings, both internally and with SIDA.
• Take responsibility for all assets assigned to the projects, and those assigned to specific activities from time to time.

societies, networks and coalitions, and professional associations.
Duties and responsibilities;
Specifically, the Capacity Development Manager will be responsible for but not limited to:
Overall leadership in Capacity Development
• Working in liaison with Head of Capacity Development and other senior Capacity Development staff, develop and implement
Pact Kenya’s capacity develop strategy.
• Check and control the quality of Capacity Development services for the program(s)
• Supervise and mentor Capacity Development officers in providing capacity building services
• Coordinate with other programs and departments to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in providing Capacity Development
services
• Networking with other Capacity Development practitioners for purposes of sharing knowledge and lessons
Design of Capacity Development Tools and Methodologies
On the basis of Pact Kenya’s Capacity Development approach, design tools and methodologies for delivery of Capacity Development
services. The tools include but not limited to assessment tools, training modules and manuals, coaching and mentoring support
techniques.
Encourage innovation among Capacity Development staff in the development and adapting of tools and methodologies.
Organizational Capacity Assessments and Action Plans
• Ensure targeted partners understand Pact Kenya’s Capacity Development approach, are ready and prepared to work and
engage with Pact Kenya staff in the process
• Provide leadership and support to Capacity Development staff in conducting organizational capacity assessments (OCAs) of
partners to identify capacity building needs and develop capacity building action plans
• Review and ascertain the quality of organizational capacity assessment reports and capacity building plans
• Ensure timely implementation of follow up OCAs and updating of the CB action plans
• Ensure the highest professional level and standards are followed in completion of the OCAs
Capacity development Interventions
• Provide leadership and support to Capacity Development staff in developing and implementing capacity building
interventions including (trainings, mentoring, coaching, peer learning and referral)
• Monitor progress in implementing action plans
• Review and ascertain the quality of capacity development interventions implemented by staff
• Arrange for consultants to support staff capacity development efforts by staff

CAPACITY DEVELOPMENT MANAGER (PK/CDM/2011)

Job Description:
Reporting to the Head of Capacity Development, the Capacity Development Manager will primarily be responsible for providing
strategic leadership in Capacity Development of partners that Pact Kenya works with.
These may include but not limited to regional and national civil society organizations, grassroots community groups, cooperative
societies, networks and coalitions, and professional associations.
Duties and responsibilities;
Specifically, the Capacity Development Manager will be responsible for but not limited to:
Overall leadership in Capacity Development
• Working in liaison with Head of Capacity Development and other senior Capacity Development staff, develop and implement
Pact Kenya’s capacity develop strategy.
• Check and control the quality of Capacity Development services for the program(s)
• Supervise and mentor Capacity Development officers in providing capacity building services
• Coordinate with other programs and departments to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in providing Capacity Development
services
• Networking with other Capacity Development practitioners for purposes of sharing knowledge and lessons
Design of Capacity Development Tools and Methodologies
On the basis of Pact Kenya’s Capacity Development approach, design tools and methodologies for delivery of Capacity Development
services. The tools include but not limited to assessment tools, training modules and manuals, coaching and mentoring support
techniques.
Encourage innovation among Capacity Development staff in the development and adapting of tools and methodologies.
Organizational Capacity Assessments and Action Plans
• Ensure targeted partners understand Pact Kenya’s Capacity Development approach, are ready and prepared to work and
engage with Pact Kenya staff in the process
• Provide leadership and support to Capacity Development staff in conducting organizational capacity assessments (OCAs) of
partners to identify capacity building needs and develop capacity building action plans
• Review and ascertain the quality of organizational capacity assessment reports and capacity building plans
• Ensure timely implementation of follow up OCAs and updating of the CB action plans
• Ensure the highest professional level and standards are followed in completion of the OCAs
Capacity development Interventions
• Provide leadership and support to Capacity Development staff in developing and implementing capacity building
interventions including (trainings, mentoring, coaching, peer learning and referral)
• Monitor progress in implementing action plans
• Review and ascertain the quality of capacity development interventions implemented by staff
• Arrange for consultants to support staff capacity development efforts by staff
• Ensure the highest professional levels and standards are followed in providing capacity development support
Monitoring, Evaluation, Reporting and Learning
• Provide leadership and support to Capacity Development staff in writing and filling reports
• Check and ensure quality of reports generated
• Prepare and share reports with other teams, management and donors as may be required

The Hospital Management invites applications from qualified candidates for the following positions:

POSITION OF QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGER - JOB GROUP K4 (1 POST)
The Quality Assurance Manager will be the overall in charge of quality assurance function in the Hospital. He or she will be
responsible to the Deputy Director (Clinical Services) for the implementation of quality assurance programmes and ensuring that
quality systems are maintained in accordance with the Hospital quality assurance policies. Specific duties will include:
• Developing quality assurance plans and programmes to ensure delivery of quality services in the Hospital
• Formulating quality assurance policies and procedures for the Hospital
• Preparing reports on quality related matters and activities in the Hospital
• Preparing expenditure estimates for the department and ensuring proper utilization of allocated funds
• Ensuring availability, proper utilization and maintenance of equipment and other supplies in the unit
• Participating in research related to quality assurance
• Effective supervision, training and development of staff
• Any other duties that may be assigned

Qualifications
• Master degree in Public Health or Health Management with a sound knowledge in quality health
• Proven experience of at least three (3) years in a management position in a large organization
• Must be a qualified Lead Auditor of Quality Management System
• Must be registered by a recognized ISO certifying body
• Degree or post graduate certificate in Quality Assurance will be an added advantage
Salary Scale - Job Group K4: Kshs. 77,527 - 94,235
